Parklands High School is a Year 7 – 12 government school located on 52 acres of open park lands overlooking Burnie and Bass Strait. Parklands has a strong history within the community of supporting students to achieve to their fullest potential, with a strong reputation in academic, vocational, co-curricular and sporting achievements.
The school has recently undergone significant redevelopment with expansive new and refurbished facilities to cater for 21st century learning. Our facilities provide an environment that promotes learning whilst also encouraging the building of social capacity and a positive school culture. Open and flexible spaces support differentiated and alternative learning opportunities aimed at ensuring access, participation and engagement.
With a strong focus on personalised learning and the development and growth of the whole person we work in partnership with our students and their families to ensure each student is supported; Community and parent engagement play an important role in student success; promoting our students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, contributors and resilient young people who are connected to their community.
